I was happy to move back to our downtown apartment, after all the repair work was complete for a water leak.  We used the opportunity to add a new pantry closet.

The COVID isolation gave me a bonus year with Kyle, as he studied remotely.  We played basketball and frisbee at the local park, took nice walks around the neighborhood which includes Ala Moana beach, and swam in our wonderful lap pool.  Kyle also took the initiative to learn how to cook from grandma. 

My big social outlet was dining outside on the patio of our restaurant 1938 Indochine.  We even met Kevin's brother, the famous DJ Steve Aoki.

When summer came and the restrictions were loosening, we enjoyed several weeks of sand volleyball with Karis and her gaggle of friends, all remote workers and students.  We frequently grilled, and our neighbor / friend Rock showed off his culinary skills paired with fine wines.
