2020 COVID Strikes

The year began normally enough but soon our lives were upended with Covid.  Kyle and I locked down in Hawaii, while ML took care of her mother in CA.

 

Kyle's senior year at Punahou ended with online classes.  They had an impromptu masked Senior prom but almost everything else got cancelled.

 

We hosted Elijah, which was a lot of fun.  We moved all shopping online.  The food delivery services took a while to catch up to the demand.

 

Besides video games, I memorized the world map and the Chinese provinces.  Videos of my efforts.

I also learned to cut my own hair. Kyle learned how to cook.

 

Kyle chose USC but unfortunately his freshman year was done completely remotely in Hawaii.

 

I wrote Mid-Life Cries and had a fiverr singer put it to music. 

 

ML's friends asked me to mimic a few of Keanu's poses for ML's birthday Zoom call backdrop.
