20th Anniversary and Alan's Birthday Party

After all day prepping, it was time for our party! Better Together is the theme, with Sunflowers as the design theme. The suggested attire was "matching outfits." We dressed in color-coordinated blue and tan but saved our "Better Together" t-shirts underneath for the reveal later in the night. The sushi chef was great, but frankly, our guests brought such amazing food that he was overshadowed. DK made crab ramen with truffles! Anna and Kyle were great watching the super cute kids. After gorging ourselves on the potluck, we did our anniversary toast, and Kyle stole the show with his toast to us. Then, we played our Newlywed Game, resulting in gut-busting laughs, as witnessed by Ellen's picture. The evening ended with Alan's surprise Anniversary gift to ML - China serving platters, (China is the traditional 20th anniversary gift). All of our amazing friends helped clean up. We were so busy and full, we didn't even have time to eat our beautiful cakes. But people did find the mochis in the freezer and ML handed out Honolulu cookie company's 20th anniversary cookies (just coincidence it's their 20th too).
