It's Alan's birthday month! Check out the cool birthday card from my niece Claire - very MAD magazine like. ML and I celebrated at The Modernist, with a sushi dinner beforehand at Ozuma. We also celebrated with our Shanghai/ Singapore friends Jen & Stephen at Tamarine in Palo Alto. But the big celebration was at the venerable Chef Chu's (where The Chef Chu came out and told us about his son John Chu, the famous Hollywood actor). ML provided the amazing table decorations and games. Then, we went back to Hawaii to celebrate cousin Chery's birthday at Nobu. The whole Ward village area is amazing. Kyle and I took advantage of the new rental bikes Biki, and rode around the neighborhood taking pictures of the street art. Our old friends Felita and Chani visited and we saw the July 4th fireworks out of their terrace in Ko'olina. We threw our own July 4th party at our condo's superb party room.
