I took Kyle around when we weren't following ML around. I tried to take Kyle to the Long Museum, which I read about in an airplane magazine, but alas my attempts to educate my son in culture was foiled by the museum being closed on the day we went. We enjoyed the nearby climbing structure before heading back to the downtown. Once again, I tried inculcating culture by taking Kyle to the newly renovated K11 mall's Claude Monet exhibit. He braved through the water lily paintings and only woke up when we found a foosball table, where Dad unmercifully beat him 10-9.
While Kyle hung out with his old buddies Devan, Jack and Parker, ML and I had a few impromptu dates, when we checked out the latest hot restaurants, like Chi Q and Hakkasan. We were happy M1NT re-opened, and the new floor manager, Ms. Mongolia Britta, was a great hostess to us.
We also had a fun night at Monkey Bar.
ML planned a great family brunch at Le Meridian to celebrate Father's Day. The kids ran amok there and they LOVED Kyle.
Alan met up with his Shanghai PP crew and was happy to see them all successful in various new ventures.
In between all the eating and reunions, we did some massages and ran errands at the bank. I also checked out the very impressive new iAPM mall.
Shanghai is so dynamic, so much fun, but so exhausting! This shirt was spotted in the Shanghai airport - the Google Translate went on the fritz!
4 days is just right. Then we were off to our next leg of our summer vacation, Alan to Taipei and then Vegas with Kyle.
