After settling the electrical problems with our apartment, we went to downtown Varenna. So cute!! In the afternoon, we went to the Sporting Club and enjoyed the foosball and pool with 2 Italian boys. |

| Why we added Lake Como to our agenda was not because of George Clooney, but because of Lee & Melanie. We took the slow boat up Lake Como on a beautiful day. Lee and Melanie met us in a small abbey at a tiny town on the north of Lake Como, and took us to their "little house on the prairie" cottage. Lee BBQ'd while the sun set over the mountains. What an amazing dinner. We slept over, experiencing a bit of drama as Lee did some sleepwalking to visit Alan at midnight. | |||||

| Alan made breakfast before we departed from the rustic lifestyle. A little too rustic for us city-slickers; Mel took Alan to the local red cross to get some antibiotics for his asthma. Lee drove us back to our apartment, and then we took the ferry to the neighboring town. Kyle and Alan then took a little, uneventful train ride, before we settled into a cafe awaiting the arrival of Felita and Chantal. |  |
