What a fun partying singing in celebration of Cindy's birthday! Mae-Ling and Alan didn't sing; we enjoyed listening to our friends, particularly Alton. Wow. Erez and Juyun turned out to be the surprise singing & dancing couple. Tina & George showed off the benefits of singing lessons. Karen's pop diva performance, including a split, was unfortunately not captured on film. Cindy and Bobby closed out the night. And check out the room decorations - amazing job on the "racing car" theme. Every room in the Vegas-styled KTV had a theme: LA, Art Deco, Andy Warhol, Hello Kitty, Carnival, Marilyn Monroe, etc. Why don't we have this in the US? It's so interesting that Americans are typically seen as outgoing and gregarious and the Chinese are quiet and conservative. But get out a microphone and the roles reverse.
We also attended BaoBei's fundraiser. Our great friends Earl and Evelin are now BaoBei's executive directors. We have such great respect for our friend who give it their all for the good of helpless babies in China. Amazingly, we won the raffle grand prize - hotel and dinner at Face Beijing. Alan also won the highest bid in the silent auction for 2 Head tennis racquets and 5 lessons with Malaysian's ex #2 tennis player!
