We got a chef for 2 weeks while Alan was recovering from his illness at home. The chef taught our ayi how to prepare food like a restaurant. We captured the beautiful garden paying homage to the Expo on a gorgeous Shanghai day. ML hired an interior designer to make our Shanghai apartment into "home." She did a great job opening up our space and converting our balcony into a mini-sunroom. The ladies celebrated Katie's 2nd year birthday at the stylish Shanghai Tang cafe.
We went to the US for part of our 4 weeks out of China on our "Tax Holiday". After Alan's "PayPal Leaders Day," we celebrated Thanksgiving with the family.
Mae-Ling's eldest brother Gilbert became the Mayor of Cupertino!!
After Thanksgiving, we went to Hawaii and then Hong Kong.
We got back home to Shanghai just in time to celebrate Christmas with our friend Carl.
