Alan gets promoted at PayPal. He took his team to Pinnacle Peak for a bit of good ole USA style celebration with steaks and mechanical bull rides for all. Of course, I had to put on a show and rode the bull backwards. I paid for it the following day...
I've been traveling a ton for work. USA 3-4 times per year. Singapore 4-6 times. And then internal China travel - Beijing, Guangdong, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chongqing, and the latest, Berlin. I was able to take a quick city tour on a gorgeous blue sky day in Berlin. I flew home thru Zurich - what a gorgeous land! I took pictures from my Swiss Air flight.
I get my first quote in WSJ:

"Alan Tien, PayPal's general manager in China, estimates there will be 150 million middle-class and affluent consumers and more than 300 million online shoppers in China by 2013. Though China is known as an exporter, "Chinese users will be a huge buying force," he said in an interview."
Huge. Yup, that's a technical term.
