We spent Chinese New Year in Hawaii with Alan's mom and sister.  Then we went to Austin to visit several friends.  Don, Karen, and their two cute daughters Kelly and Amy were great hosts in their huge house.  We also saw Angela, John, and their 2 sons - Jax being one of Kyle's best friends from pre-school days in Shanghai.  We introduced Angela and John to Amy and Richard.  Finally, we experienced Austin's (the "live music capital of the US") nightlife with ML's high school friend Joan and her fiance Lee.  We returned to the Bay Area.  Alan worked and ML saw old friends, including her El Camino mommy group.
