This
Christmas, we were VERY green - no cutting down trees or even supporting the
creation of artificial trees made from plastic (which uses petroleum): Kyle
painted our Xmas tree! If you look closely, you can see an arrow pointing down
with the words "Presents" next to it, in case Santa was confused.
We celebrated the Holiday Season by creating our own Shanghai
Christmas Card
showing off the famous Pudong skyline with the newest addition, the SWFC
(Shanghai World Financial Center), aka "The Bottle Opener" (because of the
rectangle opening at the top - it was supposed to be a circle but the Chinese
were outraged by the Japanese owner's supposedly deliberate imagery of the
Japanese "Rising Sun" reigning over China and made them change it).
And of course we hosted some parties and attended our friends' parties, including Karen & Bob's.
