We spent Chinese New Year in Hawaii, living a carefree life in Alan's mom's house. We went to the beach, the Dole Plantation's maze, and mom's Chinese Association's CNY party. For Valentine's, we stayed in the corner room in the Hilton Hawaiian Village and enjoyed beautiful views out of 2 balconies. Without reservations, we walked into a very slick Japanese fusion restaurant - Doraku - in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Turns out it was relatively empty because it had just opened less than a month ago. It was created by the Benihana owner's son Kevin Aoki, who shyly came by our table to say hi. One of the highlights for Alan's mom was seeing Chelsea Clinton during her tour of Hawaii.
After Hawaii, Alan returned to SH to wrap things up with Geni. He finalized his return to PayPal China. He also got his driver's license and attempted to buy a car.
ML and Kyle went back to the Bay Area and flew down to LA. ML went to a weekend scrapbooking retreat while Kyle played with his cousin's Emme and Aidan.
