Finally back in Shanghai after being in the US for almost 3 weeks.  We celebrated Christmas twice - once in the morning in SH where we saw evidence of Santa's appearance (donut with a bite, soy milk drained), and then again after we crossed the International date line and landed in SF on Xmas morning.  We enjoyed Xmas lunch with ML's family and had a great Xmas steak dinner with Susan and Bill.

On NYE, we had around 20 people go to SINO in Santana Row for Chinese-American food (now we know the difference from Chinese food).  We toasted champagne at 10 and went home to play Settlers with JMX.  That's excitement in the Bay Area.

We visited a ton of friends through ML's masterful planning.  ML also flew to DC to visit Joanne and Greg.  Alan took Kyle to the SJ Auto Show and SF Exploratorium.
