We joined Kyle's daycare's camping trip, but only for dinner. Alan's mom visited, and we had lunch with her high school friend, who happened to be married to Wen Ho Lee. Kyle shows off his teeth after eating wheat-free Oreos. The comedian Steve Wright once joked that he eats a whole bag of Oreos before he visits his cute dental hygenist. We took mom to the beautiful Japanese Gardens in Saratoga. Our good friend Eric visited and stayed with us. It was like Alan's old Yanez days when he and Eric were roommates, along with Ed, Don, Mike, Jeff, Christine, Ollie, Pierce.
We did a whirlwind tour of LA, staying first with our friend Felita and her daughter Chantal, and then later with Alan's cousin Cheryl. We loved the Huntington library, especially the tea - we highly recommend it. We briefly visited Pierre, Yvette and Sydney before the library, and then dropped by to visit Eric, Ming and Michaela. We went to the Orange County State Fair with Cheryl, Stephen, Emme and Aiden. We ended the trip with a quick brunch with Kalika. ML's half-sister Mimi joined us throughout the trip.

ML helped her friend Paula deliver her 3rd daughter Leila. It was one of ML's most incredible experiences. We also celebrated Ed and Tina's son Carter's 1st birthday!
