After Thanksgiving, we flew off to Hawaii and stayed with Alan's mom. Highlights of the trip: visiting the new Walmart (Kyle riding Superman train); playing ultra-fast mah-jongg with Mom and her friend; seeing Mrs. Yen; dropping by the beach for 1 hour; seeing the train display at a Waikiki hotel; and eating, eating, eating.
Then we jetted off to Shanghai. While Alan worked, Mae-Ling and Kyle hung out with the Yen's almost daily. We went to the People's Park and went on some rides, walked the famous Nanking Pedestrian Walkway at night, and visited Old Town. But, as in Hawaii, we spent most of our free time eating - at Laris, 1221, Villa Rouge, Leting, Heaven on Earth.
