Alan's company, Jamcracker, goes through yet another round of RIFs (Reduction in Force - a euphemism for layoffs), but Alan makes it through.  Not sure if that's a good thing or not.  It's a very tough ride emotionally.  People warn that start-ups are difficult.  We used to think that meant long hours.  Far from it.  Hours are relatively easy to manage, especially post the dot-com bubble.  However, the stress from uncertainty and business model changes every 90 days is what makes the work so hard.

On the bright side, Kyle continues to be a joy in our lives.  The first picture shows 1 picture of where Kyle woke up that morning.  That's not where we put him down!  He moves all over his crib, usually ending up stuck against a railing - the farthest he can travel.

We attend Bennet's 30th birthday party.  Yikes, look at all the other babies!
