Kyle went to his 4 month checkup.  We're happy to report he's perfectly normal, 50% weight and height.  We hope he's on the high-end for intellect, however.  To increase the chances, we read to him every night, but frankly, the books aren't that intellectual...

Quite the party animal, Kyle drags us along to all these events.  He visited Ed and Kelly for their delicious hotpot dinner that Alan had to miss because his new boss (whom Ed worked for before so he understands) kept him late at a meeting.

Then, Kyle insisted that we meet the Mayor of San Jose, Ron Gonzales.  Uncle Gilbert was involved in the fundraiser dinner for the mayor's re-election.

After a nice bath, Kyle gets wrapped up in his ducky towel.  Nice and clean, he was ready to go meet his friends Marissa, Sydney, James, Abigail, Solomon, and Nathan.  Then, off again to SF for Diana's birthday party, where Diana's roommates made the mistake of offering to babysit.  The party had a unique twist where the guests were put to work making gyoza.  Alan taught his table of men the ancient Chinese secret of "3 folds."

Finally, we celebrated Chinese New Year with the Wong family.  Luckily we remembered to hand out the red envelopes.  Remember those days when we were on the receiving end???

Not shown in these pictures, we're going through some stressful times with the job market volatility.  Although he's survived 3 RIFs (Reduction In Force - a nice term for layoffs), Alan's unsure of his situation within his company Jamcracker, especially with his new boss.  Mae-Ling is trying to squeeze out some time in between being a full-time mother to start a child care business on a prime piece of property her dad owns in Cupertino.  Wish us luck!
