We celebrated Mae-Ling's birthday at Todai's seafood buffet.  Kyle hangs out with Alison, his cousin.  Mae-Ling throws a bead party for her female friends.  Alan pretends to be the "pool-boy," washing the cars and doing other such trivial tasks, in order to stick around with the women and partake in the fantastic food. 

Not content to only have 1 party in a day, Mae-Ling dresses us up for the plus or minus 30 years (dress futuristic or 70's) birthday party for Lisa.  We deck Kyle out in the spacesuit given to us by Felita, and he's quite the hit.  As decoration for our party, we had some beautiful flowers, both inside and outside our house.  Finally, we oohed and ahhed over Bennet and Eugenia's new garden and backyard.  Despite the near hurricane weather, we had great BBQ, from their new grill, and stayed warm, thanks to Bennet's new outdoor heater (like the kind they have in outdoor restaurant patios).

Kyle is starting to babble more, even saying "da da" among his gurglings.  He is poised to crawl, sometimes squirming backwards but hasn't gotten the forward motion yet.  It's also becoming very difficult to change his diapers because he squirms so much.  Because he's so curious of his surroundings, he's starting to push away when being held inward.
