We drove down to LA for Mary and Ed's wedding.  We had the pleasure of meeting our new niece Emme O'Toole - parents Cheryl and Stephen were kind enough to drive up to our friend Felita's house to visit us and see Kyle. We hung out with Felita and beautiful baby Chantal, and Felita's sister's family Melita, Paul, and super-fun Jonathan. Dave came over the next morning and shared a bowl of rice with Chantal - like father like daughter.  

We then introduced Kyle to his great-grandmother Tien (Alan's dad's mom), who is 87 years old!  Due to her poor short term memory, she kept on forgetting Kyle's Chinese name.  She even hard a hard time remembering her first grandson Alan, and was temporarily challenged remembering her own son's name (Alan's dad Weichen Tien).

We attended cousin Mary and Ed's wedding, and then had a great meal at the reception in UCLA.  We really enjoyed their Korean ceremony where Ed even carried Mary around on his back.  Won't be the last time!

On Sunday, before our drive home, Granddad Tien hosted the celebratory lunch for Kyle for the Tien side of the family at a delicious Chinese restaurant in little China, Monterey Park.
